Thanks for the link.That's a good basic tweak for dialup.Here's something that goes a step further.
Win.Ini/under Ports section/change values to 921600,n,8,1,p.
On another note,new computer is Dell Dimension XPS B, 30 gig HD,128 RDram,133 system bus speed 800 Mz,Soundblaster Audio,Zip drive, 19" Sony Trinitron monitor,etc.
Have not been able to really get a good evaluation cause for the past 4 days SWBell DSL has been in and out.Guess that happens when you offer free installation,modems and cut the price 10.00 a month to 39.95 for dialup and DSL.I do know that it flies when SWB will act right.
