you which-hunter!

Not only do you know your freedoms, you're clever too. You go girl!

I'm sorry I brought up the that/which thing again. I know how silly my preoccupation with it is. If I'm able to determine almost all the time from context when they are being used incorrectly, then it doesn't really matter which word is used.

The reason I mentioned it was that I was trying to get a handle on the group that Dorine brought to our attention. One measure I use to judge if a group or a web site is legit or inhabited by wackos is language usage. Wackos tend to have poor grammar. Their correct use of which/that produced quite a halo effect in my mind. (Which was more than counteracted by the use of first names only by the group's officers.)

Regarding Roosevelt, I agree that he would likely be disappointed. All that money makes Congress a bit giddy and also attracts too many rats. I really don't mind paying taxes all that much. I can remember when marginal tax rates reached 70%, so current tax rates don't seem all that onerous. Mostly I'm bothered by the inefficiency and the Feds mucking around in things for which they aren't best suited.

Thanks for the info and for the chuckle.

Karen
