Another hope for Timna may be that Rambus gets as cheap as SDRAM. Native Rambus interface should provide additional bandwidth that may be needed. If the cheap Rambus ever arrives.

The fact that Intel put a DRDRAM interface on Timna is a pretty clear indication of how confused Intel's management was two years ago about Rambus. (Not that they are showing any more clarity today.)

Timna will probably be bandwidth limited with SDRAM, unless they resort to some tricks (like Cyrix did with MediaGX)

MediaGX is strictly 2D graphics, which requires very little bandwidth for scene creation.
