Anyone else disheartened that MS won't be moving to Canada soon? --- I had envisioned the Redmond campus becoming home to hundreds of dot com companies, ASPs, etc; revitalizing the Seattle economy. --- Oh well. --- I found MS's denial to be interesting and quotable: (paraphrased) "Microsoft has no intention of leaving the Pacific Northwest" --- Now, the irony here is that MS owns this TerraServer thing. All they need to do is to zoom out and they'll notice that British Columbia isn't in Britain -or- Columbia, but is in fact... in the Pacific Northwest. --- Do people in Vancouver refer to themselves living in The Pacific Southwest? Is there a sign at the border saying "Welcome to the Pacific Northwest" southbound, and northbound "Thanks for visiting the Pacific Northwest - please come back soon"? --- Anyway, this is all like back to back Johnny Horton hits to me; Battle of New Orleans flip/segueing right into North to Alaska (with a few changes to the TerraServer <g>). -JCJ
