Hi,

I just signed up for the Dallas OIN seminar (which is an advanced one, Jill, FWIW).

Some QCOM news today, and it's not good:

China Unicom scraps existing CDMA project - paper
BEIJING, June 4 (Reuters) - China Unicom has scrapped plans for a project using current-generation CDMA
wireless telephone standards, but will build a network using newer technology, the official China Daily Business
Weekly said on Sunday.

``The timing of construction of a narrowband CDMA system has become unfavourable, so we plan to build a
wide-band CDMA 2000 network,'' the newspaper quoted an unidentified China Unicom official as saying.

It gave no timetable for the launch of the new project, but said two years of preparations for the previous network
would be ``shifted to serve the new goal''.

China Unicom officials told industry analysts on Monday that it had no reason to use the current-generation CDMA
technology, marking a major setback to U.S.-based Qualcomm Inc (NasdaqNM:QCOM - news).

ToTD: This might be a put candidate.
