Yes, the insurance prices are inflating, which in my opinion does not have a whole lot to do with oil. I believe these new prices will stick no matter what happens to oil.

IMO, they have sunk in with the people on fixed income. The working people are certainly watching their costs go up, and will demand salary increases to cover these costs. Of course if they are concerned about loosing their jobs then they will cut back on spending and not ask for salary increases.

I do not think it is the oil prices, it is the end product prices like gas, etc. When do you think the oil companies are going to bring prices down to recent lows? I think they will keep prices up, they now have a new excuse for price increases with the new gas mix and I just do not see them giving up the new income..ie.e margins. Also the Natural Gas companies will not give up the prices they are enjoying. The oil patch has won the battle and IMO a shock will have to happen to bring down prices. It becomes a type of monopoly pricing, everyone gets on board and the consumer has no where to go.

The bottom line is we would need a massive cut in consumer spending to see prices decline significantly. I am not sure the American knows how to quit spending every penny they get and more. <ggg>
