The short yapper guy got crushed. ASND never came back down after that big dip.
I know another guy, a real nice guy, a real smart guy, that started shorting AMZN about 3 years ago. I did some research on the company and it looked really bad. I didn't short it because it looked too scary. This guy kept averaging up. Eventually he lost a very large amount of money.
I recently shorted AMZN for the first time based on a TA call from a buddy of mine on SI, at 82. I covered way too early. I shorted it based mostly on TA
Honestly, I think my track record with no TA is just as good or better than yours using TA. Believe me or not, I tend to get in and out at the right times. I can identify it as gambling you think you are engaging in a science. I find you amusing. Do you believe in the pentaverate and tri-commission as well?

A few friends have read your diatribe from the last few days. They find it highly amusing that you think that Malcolm X was a Buddhist. Please learn a little about Islam and Buddhism so you can laugh along with us. It really is hilarious. I don't think it is hyperbole to call this one of the dumbest misconceptions in the history of SI. These are the 2nd and 5th most widely followed religions in the world. Your bosom buds are making a valiant effort to sooth this self inflicted wound. They give far more credit than you deserve. I can't imagine you having the nerve to deride any other person for their intelligence. If I see you do it to anyone else on SI I will point him or her back to csco thread.
I do not know much about TA. You are correct. If I want to learn more I'll read a book or two. For now I am content to read other's analysis just as I don't plan to learn to fix my own television (I can pay someone else to learn how). When I post TA is not my own, it is from professionals. Your criticisms are laughable for that very reason.

An observation that I have made through many years online in chat rooms is that posters who put a lot of emphasis on spelling as a criteria for legitimacy of an idea are typically insecure and poorly educated. I know that in my graduate studies and doctorate work spelling was not as highly emphasized as it had been in high school or lower level undergrad courses. The reason? Because when you make to grad school you have already proven your intellectual worth. There is no need to prove it over and over again. What this tells me about you is that you are not that well educated (high school, community college, maybe a technical degree). Your lack of knowledge of the world surrounding you provides additional proof. Not only that, but the people who know you IRL seem to appreciate your fragility. They know that without their support you would never be able to handle the deserved chiding you are receiving. Stand up for yourself with something meaningful. You can't just expect that I will cower from you TA knowledge. I don't care how many TA books you have read, say something that shows you have depth to your knowledge. BTW, I have no plans to ever take the time to use perfect grammar and spelling in my SI posts, so don't waste your time looking for any mistakes. <vbg>
I've received a few PMs with guesses as to your true self. They run the gamut from high school kid to disgruntled public defender. Personally, I think you're an ignorant ex-attorney that blames his problems on other people because he can't take responsibility for his past mistakes. I think you believe that the world has done you wrong and owes you a favor.
eom, you wanted to use a TA discussion as a cover for a personal attack. You should admit it. This was never about TA. I think you have spent your entire life searching for someplace that would give you a little respect. You read some TA books and helped some people out. You think, now, that you have the power to attack with impunity. Your armor is thin and it is clear that you are a one-dimensional want to be intellectual. I lead an extremely happy life with a great career and good friends. I'm afraid you're wrong again.
Guys like you make my job fun. You are essential for the market. You can't read a chart, you already know more than everyone else, and you throw your money away because you know you will be right eventually, dammit. Somebody has to put the money into the market that I take out, and with a guy like you, I just love my job. At some point in the future, if you don't wise up and learn some TA to go along with your snotty attitude, somebody like me will be able to clean you out totally.
TA bs artists are a dime a dozen not only on SI but also all over the financial press. You'll get your due sooner or later. Then your snotty attitude will be properly adjusted to your actual IQ.
If you want to short CSCO in real life, wait for a short-term top. If your trade goes the wrong way, get out, because the trend is up right now. You're betting against the best performing stock in the history of the United States, and the company that will lead this planet into the next century, when the Internet will turn into the biggest thing since the wheel. Despite whatever Wall Street thinks the price of the stock should be this month.

A good portion of my wealth is in U.S. bonds and real estate. I have a diversified portfolio that includes many good dividend paying stocks. I doubt I will ever need to worry about dinner.
Do not take any solace in this post being deleted, if that occurs. It certainly does not mean that you are right. SI has become a popularity contest. A posts veracity or defensive necessity does not matter the powers that be. Your club is more important to SI Admin than the truth of the matter asserted. Ah censorship. Just because the post is gone does not mean that the idea or the poster has similarly vanished. Although I presume that your kind would enjoy that power greatly.
Also, never believe that censoring your critics makes your position correct. SO and Monty were unjustly removed from SI because of your ilk, I may be next.
