Thank you, CobaltBlue, but I'm afraid that would not work in this case. You see, this is a circular bed covered in pine straw, wrapped around the pecan tree. I'm afraid that rocks would look out of place here! I can, however, use this idea in a backyard, less formal area.

Thank you again and I'll keep looking for others to send their suggestions as well!

By the way, Lantana is a wonderful, hardy perennial that does very well in Georgia. You should try it!
