Mark, again pinging a router will give varying results depending on how busy it is. Responding to a ping is last on it's list.

The ping times to cybercorp are really good. But then it is the weekend.

Routers will often send packets on different routes. I don't know what kind they use, and I only know cisco routers. But in our network we always put in diverse routes. You can tell the cisco the bandwidth on each link and it is smart enough to manage the bandwidth.
