SCUMbria - Re: "By all normal standards, the GHz parts were/are not ready for production."

That is correct - AMD's 1 GHz AthWiper had to be doubly jacked-up in voltage from 1.7 (Which was already Jacked-Up from 1.6 voilts on the original AthWiper)to 1.8 volts - with the addition of a doubly massive heat sink and fan - in order to get their 'Wipey's to an overclocked 1 GHz.

Thanks for reminding us of AMD's desperation.

Of course, the ThumperTurds with copper will run easily at 1.4 GHz tomorrow - right?
