Ulrich, >And even INTC proved, that there are problems!

They made 2 mistakes using RMBS and therefore RMBS
is not as easy to design as DRAM systems.

This is a design problem.

DRDRAM memory is a new technology. You could even call it revolutionary. Quite often revolutionary technologies have implementation problems when they first come out. Another recent revolutionary technology I can think of that has had early implementation problems is copper interconnect ICs. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that only IBM has it under control right now. Does that mean we should all give up on copper?

Another, much more prevalent technology today, that took a long time to get going, is CMOS itself. It was introduced by RCA in the 1960's. But, it had skew, drive and other problems from the getgo that didn't really get solved for systems level usage, until 20 years or so later. We didn't give up on that, or we'd still be seeing TTL and ECL computers.
