It's an inferior replacement for our (former)Constitutional Republic. We've lucked out for the past 50 years but with our institutional safeguards all severely eroded all it will take is one more Clinton and our grand experiment is in the toilet. I believe the blessings of the welfare state are mixed at best and overall, deleterious.
