Ha, but you can't start doing that now, because the money collected earlier is gone.

I believe the 2 percentage point increase in Social Security taxes was designed to refill the coffers of the pension fund. Don't look like it is working. Also, this is the portion that Mr. Bush has been suggesting that workers should be allowed to manage themselves.

Anyways, I am of the opinion that eventually the system will reach a crisis stage where there will be tremendous pressure to simply increase the retirement age.

Life expectancies are going up all the time, right?
