WOODLAND HILLS, Calif., Jun 5, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Spatializer
Audio Laboratories Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: SPAZ) announced today that New
Japan Radio Co., Ltd. ("NJRC") has licensed Spatializer's virtual surround sound
technology, Spatializer N-2-2(TM) as well as Spatializer(R) 3-D Stereo, its
two-channel audio enhancement technology. NJRC is expected to begin shipping two
new Spatializer N-2-2(TM) Virtual Surround enabled decoder DSPs in late summer
2000, and will incorporate Spatializer N-2-2 into future DSPs under development
for release next year. In addition, the agreement gives NJRC the right to
develop ICs incorporating Spatializer(R) 3-D Stereo technology.

"The signing of this agreement continues the implementation of our strategy to
align ourselves with the world's leading DSP foundries, with the objective to
further extend the global reach of our Spatializer N-2-2 virtual surround sound
technology," said Henry R. Mandell, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of
Spatializer Audio Laboratories, Inc. "NJRC has a proven track record as an

new Spatializer N-2-2 DSP product introductions from NJRC by late summer 2000.

new ICs incorporating our Spatializer(R) 3-D Stereo technology to provide cost
effective solutions for the television and audio markets to drive deeper and
wider penetration of this technology. We are very pleased to welcome NJRC to our
extensive family of Spatializer licensees and have them as a partner as we
solidify Spatializer N-2-2 as the de facto world standard in virtual surround
sound."

"We have explored a relationship with Spatializer very carefully and have
concluded that their technology provides us with important competitive
advantages," said Mr. Ryo Ogura, Director, Deputy General Manager, Semiconductor
Sales & Marketing Division of NJRC. "A hallmark of our Company is to offer a
wide range of audio solutions, but the absence of Spatializer's technology left
a large hole in our product line-up. Spatializer N-2-2 is a must-have for DVD's,
and we believe that Spatializer's other technologies can add significant value
to our complete range of products for the PC and Consumer Electronics markets.
We see this agreement as the beginning of a long and successful partnership."
