Will you consider the implications of two parts of your most recent post?

1) I'm sure it is a universal sadness we mothers have that our children, if we are successful at our task of raising them, inevitably leave us behind.

2) I'll really miss being needed in the way only my children need me.

Doesn't the first say that successful launching of our offspring is immaterial. It is our loss of our contact with them that matters.

And the second. Have you no husband? No memories of a husband? No memories of a seed supplier?

I did my (weak) post in levity, believing you would see how very very far you had taken the mother/child vs mother/father relationship.

But I guess levity was out of order. gsm
