Qualcomm exec spotted crying quietly into beer... In an
announcement that likely inspired a coterie of stomach

telecommunications firm to build a network based on its
code division multiple access (CDMA) standard. An Unicom
executive explained the rational for the withdrawal by
saying that the timing of constructing the CDMA system
"has become unfavorable."
