HI Tom, I've been checking them out a bit, the line in bold below has me curious: ----Hi/fn, Inc. designs and develops multi-protocol packet processors. The company's compression processor products, used by storage equipment vendors, improve the performance & capacity of mid- to high-end tape back-up sys. Its encrypt'n/ compress'n & public key processor prods provide key algorithms used in virtual private networks, reduce wide area ntwrk'g costs & provide access to corporate networks. Hi/fn's encrypt'n/compress'n & public key processors allow network equipment vendors to add security capabilities & band-width enhancement to their products. Its prods are used in ntwrk'g and strge equipment such as routers, fire- walls & remote access concentratrs. Many ntwrk & storage equipment mfrers incorporate Hi/fn's prods, like Microsoft & IBM. In May 00, it agreed to acquire Apptitide. --- since when are MSFT and IBM the poster children for network and storage equipment? I though it was EMC and NTAP that are posterkids -g- maybe they are using HIFN products as well? I assume that HIFN has kissed the Godfather's Ring? (ie. a vendor to the Mighty C) -g-
