Think about it. --------------------------- I'm less concerned with the obesity explosion than I am with the use of extreme measures in prolonging life. The last study I looked at in regards to The Patient Self-Determination Act indicated that 80% of all Medicare costs are incurred in the last two weeks of life when it is completely pointless. It would be interesting to know how much of that 80% involves ventilators and other extreme measures. I am a big advocate of advance medical directives.
