Frank,

I believe that the complaining you are referring to was from users who's upstream bandwidth was capped. Used to be ATHM didn't cap the upstream. Now they do at either 128k or 256k. I believe the contracts limit streaming video to 10 minutes though I don't know if that was ever revisited.
