The "Controlled Press" loses control:

"I trusted him. That son-of-a-bitch lied to me. He betrayed me," a fuming Wallace said, referring to the film in which the newsman is portrayed as buckling under pressure to shelve the Wigand segment, which eventually aired.

Wallace, who at one point lightly slapped Fanning's cheek in anger, charged that at the time the controversial segment was filmed, Bergman was already in cahoots with "The Insider" director Michael Mann. Fanning said he didn't know that.
