X--I am kinda behind on some of the films and also seeing some first runs. I liked Small Time Crooks; especially Elaine May's part which was truly inspired. Movie was a bit fluffy for Woody but enjoyable nonetheless.

Finally saw Sixth Sense and found it to be slow and a bit schmaltzy at the end. I thought the boy was good as was Bruce Willis but I can't understand why it was nominated for an Academy Award.

"Frequency" I found much more satisfying then Sixth Sense. The young man who was the lead was also the lead in Thin Red Line and was equally good in Frequency. He wrote the screenplay for the latter, btw.

Shangai Noon is to be savored for Owen Wilson's acting and the writing that supported his role. He is a very talented and funny fellow. He and Jackie Chan played off of each other very well.

Three Kings was a surprising pleasure for me. It has much more depth about the Gulf War then the previews would lead one to believe. Fun to see what Spike Jonze looks like(Director of Being John Malkovich). Again, a much better movie than Sixth Sense.

I think I spoke about Dogma on this thread before. Incredibly funny and another neglected film that was much better than Sixth Sense. OK!!, I will lighten up.

Going to watch new version of Doesteyevski's(sp?) Crime and Punishment this evening. Will report later.
