My ISP is only in the loop when UUNET hands the data off to them and they, in turn, pass it to me From this you imply that your ISP peers directly to UUNET. That is probably as good as it can get, though I'm no expert. A lot of other ISP's use different backbone providers. Data coming to my two different ISP's from Cyber follow two radically different paths. The path a packet takes to you depends on who your ISP talks to. Make sense? BTW- its my opinion that Cyber has gotten radically less reliable lately. Its them- not us primarily at fault. Eric
