pk, they ain't. everyone laughs at gold. and if it DOES go up, some sort of anomaly will be blamed or it will be deemed a temporary state. others will perhaps acknowledge a percentage rise but insist that gold bugs could have made a great deal more $ on internet stocks or qcom. and they wouldn't be wrong there.
