Forgive me, but isn't that what its all about? What you seem to take for granted is that coming up with these methodologies is easy, or without profit capturing potential. Tell that to billy gates.

Perhaps the crash in the B2B was the realization that it takes a lot more than a few people talking about the idea, it takes a building full of programmers and engineers to make it a reality. ....that's lots of jobs for 'middlemen' software guys.

Reality is coming to .coms as they struggle to MAKE the hype a real product. The same with B2B. Just because you have seen the same thing on Star Wars, or in Matrix, doesn't mean the damn thing is really there. ...Gee what do we do now that we have done the neat ad???

Moving goods through the market will continue, You go to a super market because it is convenient. You will use a similar convenience even if it is a digital market. Facilitators, middlemen, will not disappear; but they will change.
