Thanks for the reply Frank.
I see your point.

I guess their soup won't be ready until others are finished creating the pot... and the stove...

It will be another couple of years before high bandwidth internet connections are common place in the home.
It's getting closer though.

I'll be watching to see which new partners will be added.
Perhaps streaming media types, satellite TV companies, other boxtop makers, etc.

I'm seeing a lot of publishing type companies beginning to join.
Perhaps, this is the 1st practical step with today's infrastructure.
Downloading a book doesn't take very long. Especially if compared to downloading music or movies.

I guess WAVX's future is riding on the hope that manufacturers/creators of media will try to steer in the direction of a hardware based means of secure distribution.
It's a lot easier to distribute hacked software than it is to distribute hacked hardware.

Another question is, will the tight margined box makers want to pay for the $5 chip to put inside their motherboards?
Compaq and HP are partners, yet I don't think they have yet to commit to adding that much additional cost to the price of their equipment.
Probably not until consumers demand it or until media companies foot the bill.

Should TimeWarner, Seagrams, and other media types help to get the system jump started, WAVX could then possibly become the hottest soup kitchen around.

Until then, I'll be watching for that soup pot to be built.
Can a watched pot be built?
If so, can a watched pot boil?
<g>

Thanks again for the feedback.
