ANGOSS Unveils KnowledgeSTUDIO Integration With SQL
Server 2000

TORONTO, CANADA--

Tech Ed Demonstration Shows How Data Mining Delivers Affordable
and Powerful Closed Loop CRM

(CDNX: ANC - www.angoss.com) - ANGOSS Software Corporation, the
industry leading developer of advanced data mining solutions that
help business users make better business decisions every day,
announced today the demonstration by Microsoft(R) Corporation of
ANGOSS data mining technology integrated with SQL Server 2000 at
Tech Ed 2000, the annual developers conference sponsored by
Microsoft(R) Corporation for the Microsoft Developers Network
(MSDN), in Orlando, Florida.

The presentation outlined how application developers can leverage
the data mining capabilities of SQL Server 2000 and complementary
third party solutions to deliver improved business value to
customers and enhance the value of their solutions. The
demonstration was based on a closed loop customer marketing
application designed to maximize response and profitability of a
sample database marketing initiative. The application was built
by ANGOSS using customized versions of KnowledgeSTUDIO data mining
ActiveX components integrated with SQL Server 2000.

"As an industry pioneer, ANGOSS has been actively promoting the
use of data mining technology in both CRM and many other
application areas to improve business decision making", commented
ANGOSS President Eric Apps. "We believe the SQL Server 2000
platform and Microsoft's standards based approach to the
development of data mining enabled applications will make data
mining more accessible to developers, more understandable to
users, and more affordable for everyone. OLE DB for DM illustrates
the commitment of Microsoft to work in partnership with solution
providers like ANGOSS towards a common goal - empowering
developers to deliver powerful, flexible and affordable data
mining enabled solutions to customers that provide significant
business value".

"The SQL Server and Site Server platforms offer significant
competitive advantages to customers and enterprise application
developers in both traditional warehouse and in e-business
domains", commented ANGOSS Vice-President Technology Ken Ono. "By
introducing OLE DB for DM and optimizing SQL Server for data
mining, Microsoft is making it much easier for application
developers to integrate sophisticated data mining capability into
their applications. Our KnowledgeSTUDIO software development kit,
which leads the data mining industry in taking maximum advantage
of SQL Server 2000's data mining capabilities, offers a wide range
of complementary options for developers who wish to leverage and
extend the SQL Server 2000 infrastructure for their apps."

"KnowledgeSTUDIO's tight integration with SQL Server 2000, as well
as ANGOSS's other initiatives to leverage Microsoft's Windows DNA
2000 infrastructure, reflect the strong track record of thought
leadership and engineering excellence that ANGOSS has shown in the
data mining industry," commented Steve Murchie, Group Product
Manager for SQL Server at Microsoft. "Microsoft is committed to
working with our industry partners and independent software
vendors to continue to improve and enhance our products to meet
the needs of our customers."

The above demonstration was one of several Microsoft initiatives
reviewed at Tech Ed 2000 to empower developers to "Build the
Business Internet" through the development of more intelligent
standards based enterprise applications that leverage the advanced
data management and decision support capabilities of the SQL
Server database platform, Site Server e-business platform, and
Visual Studio developer tools. More information on TechEd can be
