Some. But understand this is wild ass speculation on my part.
For a product as mature as the MTH, (albeit with glitches), it's difficult for me to believe it takes another six months to sort out the final solution.
There are a number of third party products coming designed to attack the segment. (For example, VIA and ALI). This segment requires extremely low cost solutions.
An MTH implies not only higher costs, but lower performance. While it is possible the delay is in anticipation of competitive RDRAM pricing, to me it is more likely the device is being redesigned for PC100/133 support. (As an Intel advocate, I hope that's the case). <g>
While the roadmap gets more confusing with time, I fully expect Intel to provide what the market demands. If that requires changes in direction, I've no doubt Intel will adopt. Will it happen? Guess we have to wait and see.
