Len,

You may have the wrong analogy. Perhaps the "space shuttle" is more appropriate than the camel. Lots of glitches and aborted takeoffs. However, when the first big sale hits, it really means blast-off as TLS instantly becomes profitable. The second big order means ESLs are indeed a needed retailing technology. At this point, the Street will take notice. I don't mind going for a few years without any returns when if the payoff is substantial.

The questions to ask in determining whether you want to own the stock are:

1. Does the product make sense?
2. Is it reasonable priced?
3. Does it offer users a competitive advantage?
4. Would you buy it if you were a retail manager and had to justify the purchase to upper management?
5. Does the product itself have competitive advantages?

Sometimes technologies are a little ahead of their time. 5 years ago I could never understand why people wanted cell phones, especially for personal use given how expense they were. Today, I have a family plan that includes my in-laws. Not only can I almost always reach my family when I need to, our long distance bills have all dropped by more than the cost of the calling plan. Today, I can't see why people would want to use their cell phones for internet functions, but as broadband capacity it added and new features are also added, I'm sure in a few years I'll feel differently. Remember Qualcomm sat in the dumps for a long time before taking off.

FWIW

Jeff
