Why do folks have such an aversion to shorting? Is it riskier than being long? Consider, for example, being long and a price crash occurs... isn't it just as hard to sell into sellers on a long position as it is to buy into buyers on a short position when covering?

My general experience is that it's easier to make money on a short since prices seem to fall faster than they rise. Getting the fill requires a little more anticipation for shorter term plays, but ought not be a problem with slower systems like BTTT MAX.
