I understand that. I've got rheumatoid arthritis, and spend a lot of time every week researching causes and treatments. Blocking TNF-alpha from the inflammatory cascade is like pulling out one domino from the falling dominos - the ones after it don't fall, that is, don't activate. I was just commenting on the following quote from the article:

"TNF-alpha is a gene that has a validated role in inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn's disease."
