I don't think 25% of bats have rabies, but you aren't supposed to touch bats with your naked hands. I agree about the wish to be rid of disease and pain. Sometimes it feels like a full time job. Or maybe I just use it as an excuse. Just taking all the pills I'm supposed to take each day requires an effort. They upset my stomach, so I have to space them out, and take with food. Most days, I don't succeed in taking everything.
