Suggestions for trapping feral cats: Put the trap where the feral cat frequents, preferably in some woody area. Cover the trap with something like a blanket so they don't recognize it. Bait with tuna fish and sardines, very smelly and cats love them. Stay away from the trap, cats have very good sense of smell and hearing. Leave the trap alone, so that it doesn't change, and the cat gets used to it. And keep it as long as you need it, if you borrowed it from the county, think of it as keeping a library book overdue until you finish it.

How are you going to keep your own cats out of the trap?
