Spoke with a friend of mine from China Telecom who believes Unicom is taking advantage of Qualcomm's relative weakness to renegotiate the framework agreement. He believes Unicom will go CDMA but is trying to squeeze better terms out of Qualcomm. I don't think that this is news to anyone here, but I thought I'd pass along a viewpoint from China. MicroE
