BK,
AMD does not, let alone the resources to fight a giant(with price cuts no less since the consumer will once again be in the driver's seat) and stop the hemmoraging? Your statement that they can is illogical, no offense intended.
The price cutting works only when you have a superior product. In the past Intel used that weapon successfully. Today, Intel does not have a superior product, so any price cut only means lower earnings for Intel. If Intel gets back to the driver seat and has superior product, we can talk again, but at that time, I may no longer have AMD stock, so it will be an academic discussion.
FYI, Intel just cut prices, and AMD did not. It seems that AMD actually raised their prices.
INTC has cash to help it through any downturn
I am not sure what you mean, Great Depression? I don't know why either company would need to lose money at a rate that would affect their respective cash positions.
