Gary: Those last were most informative and, I daresay, enthralling
posts. If you ever leave the stocks and bond business, you may find
another calling writing literary thrillers. Very intriguing.

You are seemingly a man who has spent some time "in the belly
of the beast" and who has developed a wealth of experience and
knowledge of the markets. The Nasdaq is terra incognita to many.
If you have the time or inclination, would you please explain to
the non-professionals here precisely how the Nasdaq market maker
system works, especially as it applies to the bulletin board
stocks? How many ways can investors suffer at the hands of
market makers? Also, if you have the chance, could you address
the issue of shorting stocks at the market maker level, the
trading of stocks between market makers, and how these and
other practices may ill serve the investing public? The world
of bulletin board stocks, in particular, is a nether world which
few of us outsiders can fathom, at our peril, often times.

Thank you very much.

Truman

Ps. What is an SRO? an NRP?
