DOn't they have some kind of direct transfer--bank to business? My friend says she does it all online. I still do everything the old-fashioned way- including balancing my checkbook by hand. It takes hours, because I can't subtract. Or add. But I make very nice neat columns and have lovely penmanship.
Usually I'm off several thousand dollars. But just the first time. It gets closer each time til it's close enough to ignore.

I'm so sorry about the flu- wherever did you get that in June? I hope there is someone to get drinks and stuff for you.

I'm reading a new (for me) author- ANita Brookner. Well, I'm reading several books at once, which may explain why I never remember books the way other people do. Characters run together in my head and get into each other's plots. It's really confusing this week, because I'm reading Heller's Portrait of an Artist as an Old Man, which in turn talks a lot about other authors and books. And then Dan left one on my pillow-- our signal to each other that this book goes beyond the normal "read it sometime" recommendation. It means Read Soon. It's Lee, the Last Years by Charles Bracelen Flood and has a great deal about W&L University and Lexington, where I grew up.
So do you have something good to read- something fun. No heavy stuff while recovering from flu. I know from experience that reading serious thoughtful writing can set your recovery back significantly. You must trust me on this and read only junk.
