Umbro,

I have never used anything from EST, but I think EST is more than just ICE. It designs and sells boards. The combination of EST and WRS is awesome. As we know that WRS is no longer an embedded OS/tools company. It is a solution company. The complete solution requires hardware, OS, and applications. EST gives WRS the completeness.

EST is also another way of getting in the design early and lock the customer onto VxWorks or pSOS.

EST may have strengths in certain markets, such as telecommunications. We know this market is a key for WRS. Getting EST strengthens WRS' dominance in this market. I believe that this market will be much much much larger for WRS in a couple of years than it is today, which makes the EST acquisition all that much meaningful.

Since WRS is a total embedded solutions company, it can easily use its man power to focus on any of the vertical markets that it's going after.
