After the GTE press conference, I spoke with JS and he said they would need a large partner to do the contract. I could have said, "Who do you have in mind?" but there were others nearby and I decided to wait. I don't think Amati has any delusions when it comes to the magnitude of the contract. Nor do I have any doubt they'll have what they need when they need it. Can you imagine any datacommunications company *not* wanting to partner under the circumstances? I've not thought of it till now, but do you think the deployment announcement was postponed because Amati didn't have their dataomm partnership in stone?

Just a thought.
