You are unlikely to have replacement of all existing cdma handsets, although I would love to know the size of the replacement market in the U.S. today.

My opinion is that Qcom could actually use a delay in China, because it assures a pop in revenues as soon as the initial 1x shot upward will trail off. This may ultimately be good for company's PE. When revs and earnings shoot upwards, stock price will move upward, and then get another shot when China finally gets its act together.
