OT Scumbria Human greed is what causes capitalism. Without the endless desire for more money or power or posessions, there would be no marketplace or trade. I think your vision is biased. Or we could all go live in the mountains and meditate, and live off the hard work of others. There is a balance in everything....and to have balance does not require moving to the mts. Unfortunately we seem to have trouble maintaining a balance.....so that we have consumption getting out of control and imbalances created. The result....1800 sq ft tear downs selling for a million; SUV's in every other garage, sucking gas at a mile per gal. and farmed instead of wild salmon. I just think there is someplace in the middle between pigging out of the trough and living in the mts. Sorry that you don't agree. ted
