(Reuters) - Even in the lightning-fast world of high-technology, it seems that sometimes the more things change, the more they stay the same. 3Com Corp., a once-leading purveyor of data-networking equipment, on Wednesday will announce that the dial-up modem business it's spinning off will emerge with the same name it had when 3Com bought the company in 1997, an acquisition that eventually proved disastrous. It will be called U.S. Robotics. --------- You heard it here first.
