The demand for flash products is excellent, without a doubt. I bought SSTI for $ 3 around the same time I bought a lot of ALSC in the same neighborhood! ALSC went from $ 3 to $ 27, but SSTI went from $ 3 to $ 100 and is still climbing! ALSC can climb higher if an SRAM shortage creeps in. Today ISSI got a banner chart on page A8 of Investor Business Daily, showing a relative strength rating of 99! It looks very strong! ALSC has a "97 rating"!
In the same page there is also a curious article titled "Chip shortage slows PC sales growth: International Data Corp.(IDC)" - they talk about Intel pushing back the introduction of low-cost Timna microprocessor! This is due to the delay with a component called Memory Translator Hub (MTH). The MTH will let the Timna designed to work with Rambus memory, also work with standard SRAMs. SRAMs are cheaper than Rambus chips! So there is a window of opportunity for ALSC and ISSI to sell more SRAMs for the next three quarters. All in all, it is an upbeat market for ALSC!
