MS Dean Witter's Wien alters portfolio, lowers cash
NEW YORK, June 7 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley Dean Witter said Wednesday that its U.S. investment strategist, Byron Wien, tweaked his model portfolio and ``fresh money'' buy lists, reflecting more exposure to technology and financial stocks.

In his model portfolio, Wien added 1 percent positions in shares of Internet media giant Yahoo! Inc. (NasdaqNM:YHOO - news), semiconductor maker LSI Logic (NYSE:LSI - news), television set-top box maker Scientic-Atlanta Inc. (NYSE:SFA - news) and financial firms MBNA Corp. (NYSE:KRB - news) and Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C - news)

The amount of cash in Wien's model portfolio dropped to 10 percent from 15 percent, Morgan Stanley said.

Wien also added power utility AES Corp. (NYSE:AES - news) to his ``fresh money'' buy list, removing Mead Corp. (NYSE:MEA - news), a forest products company.
