Hi Mark & rexstar98. The sideline money issue was "pooh poohed" by the other thread. I guoted 1.7 trillion dollars before and stick to the approximate number. Of course I was asked to prove it. That is virtually impossible and they know it. But sampling the cash on hand that 30 mutual funds normally carry, then the cash on hand they actually have, showed a 35% increase of cash as an average.(35% more than what they have, not 35% of the total fund value)

When you apply that to the total mutual fund industry value, you get about 1.7 trillion US dollars.

I was 70% cash thru this turmoil, I am now 30% cash, so assuming I am normal (and we could debate it for quite sometime according to my wife) then the sideline cash is much larger.

But, I don't have a pretty chart, with coloured lines to display on the other thread..so was "banned". Also because the indication was "bullish" they don't want to hear it...bear stuff only.

I like BS guesses, it relieves people of the responsibility of proving they are knowledgeable, and allows them to participate in a guess based on Tea Leaves, the coils of hair in the armpit, or density of the wax in their ears, or in depth TA!!LOL
