Teledyne Technologies and Adaptive Broadband Sign Multiyear Agreement

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 2000--Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) and Adaptive Broadband(TM) (Nasdaq:ADAP) have signed a multiyear agreement for up to 500,000 GaAs MMIC power amplifiers for the AB-Access(TM) U-NII band radio. This agreement is an extension of the commitment that was announced in February 2000.

"This is a significant commitment and we look forward to supporting Adaptive Broadband(TM), a premier supplier of broadband wireless access radios, for many years to come."

AB-Access technology spans the frequency range from 2 to 42 GHz. The first releases for AB-Access are for applications using the 5 GHz U-NII (Unlicensed National Information Infrastructure) and 2.5 GHz MMDS (Multi-channel, Multipoint Distribution Service) frequency bands. Adaptive Broadband recently announced a 27.5-31.3 GHz LMDS (Local Multipoint Distribution Service) version of AB-Access and a 3.5 GHz version for the European market.
