My contacts are in line with SteveG. Amati has been asking
for exorbitant licensing fees. As a result they've turned
folks like PairGain,USRX,Ascend,DSC,Hayes,and more into
the enemy camp. These results show bad executive decision.
Com'on Pat, you've got to stop defending the management
of Amati no matter what. We're all for Amati and want
this company to perform well. If you always cheer them
on with no feedback, they'll never improve. They need to
be more realistic or they'll end up playing by themselves.
Look what happened to Betamax, Apple, Be, etc. They
become casualties. What SteveG is telling you is straight
feedback from folks who could have become valued customers
and alliance partners with Amati. It's not just money,
it's attitude too.
