Re: "I would like to hear from an Intel system performance architect how Rambus is worth the continuing headache and black eye it is causing Intel. Not that Intel has been executing well lately by any stretch of the imagination, but why tie a supposed great Willamette chip to a chip that's just memory and has so many issues? I agree, take it out and shoot it"

Tony I think that as Intel shareholders we ALL would like an answer to this one. This is becoming so obvious a disaster that I think we have a right to call Intel management on the carpet to answer to us for their policy. This is a difficult stance for shareholders to take because management has rewarded us so handsomely for so many years but as it stands now Intel is the best friend our competition could possibly have. We are driving our customers into the arms of our competition and management needs to tells us what they are doing to reverse this too long ongoing trend. Things are not getting better they are getting worse and we need to admit that and demand an explanation and a plan to fix it.
