Does anyone seriously believe if this had happened to George W Bush the mainstream press would have ignored the story?

Forgive me for not having following the story in all of its details, but I gather this relates to a real estate maintenance "problem" in which one of Gore's pieces of properties was at center stage ?

If such is the case....

Then all I would say is... WHO CARES ??

Have Al gore hire a better real estate management company and on to the important issues.

I do not give a rat's arse if the guy is a slumlord or not, I want to know what his solutions to ongoing issues will be.

It is this idiotic nick picking that drives the entire circus, with its "action for nothing" as a result. Perhaps a "blessing in disguise" ?

Unless we all, really change in how we view the candidates and start demanding that they and their respective teams of acolytes concentrate in solving issues, instead of hiring hordes of petty spies to unearthen the muck the other guy has under his or her shoes, it is a lost cause to ask for objectivity from the press

I do not even care to read neither the newspapers, nor look at the TV news. All I pay attention to is financial news, and I view it with a "filtering" eye anyway.

It is like a damned circus of absurdities, a nick picking soap opera with relevancy for morons. I am truly amazed that those people actually ever accomplish anything. I guess they do so, at a tremendous cost that the same things could be accomplished at a reduced cost.

The best example of such waste was the failed impeachment of a president based on a sexual affair, (and yes, the lies before, during, around and after the damned thing). SUCH WASTE ! I really do not want to get into it.

I just wanted to express that it is about time we demand that the press and the politicians be objective about real issues, and QUIT nick picking if one guy picked his nose without a Kleenex, or the other guy had unattended hemorrhoids while he played golf.

I DON'T CARE. I only care about important issues. I am sure there are many of the same opinion.

What important issues ?

Example:

1. Elimination of capital gain tax.
2. Creation of a simplified tax code.
3. Education access to small children
4. Improvement of education levels from grade to high school
5. Limitation of government intrusion in one's legal affairs
6. Trade promotion and policies with other countries
7. Incentives for economic development in under-developed areas of the country.
8. Increased scrutiny (and elimination where applicable), of absurd government programs
9. Improved Social Security management
10. Control of health care costs, and elimination of absurd legal awards for "pain and suffering"
11. Control and limitation of frivolous lawsuits
12. Increased clarity of the elections funding and process (number of votes, to obtain representative votes)

And any other issue that may be of relevance, within reason), to our improvement as a society.

No I am not an expert on any of the above, but without detailed analysis; those are some items that I consider relevant.

The rest is b.s.
