Yes, i think we agree on all this ... there are rights existing in the abstract, and then there is the reality of more concrete bullets, which i personally choose to avoid either sending or receiving. Some do choose the medium of bullets though, and this recent increase in their use against mexicanos will inevitably tend to lead to their use by mexicanos ... action and reaction - i don't agree with either, fwiw ... the practical man picks the rights he can gain, the fights he can win, always with an eye to Rule 1; Survive.

[edit] - except i don't agree with this -

"Imo "the people" is just as arbitrary a construct as political borders. Who are my people? I get to decide that. And I get to change my mind about it right up until I die."

Cultural difference, i suppose ... personally i have since my birth added to the groups to which i feel i belong, but i have subtracted none ... makes for a lot of hyphens in the bio -g-

[edit 2] - the neighbors of your nation to the north and south permit dual citizenship of each other and of your own ... yet yours prohibits it ... is there a message in that prohibition i wonder.
