Mosel Vitelic Announces The Introduction of 64Mb Double Data Rate (DDR) SDRAM
During the second half of 2000, the DDR SDRAM will replace the SDR SDRAM as the mainstream memory of choice to meet ever-increasing bandwidth requirements from today's graphics add-on cards.
...
The 64Mb DDR SDRAM is available in three organizations, the 4Mx16 (V58C265164S), 8Mx8 (V58C265804S), and 16Mx4 (V58C265404S) with all device options being packaged in an industry standard 66-pin TSOP-II.

The comment about DDR replacing SDR in graphics is old information. But while the 4Mx16 parts might be used in graphics, the target for the 16Mx4 and 8Mx8 are far more likely to be more mainstream memory designs.
